About Inkwazi

The Inkwazi vision started in April 2017 with the intention of developing a property south of Durban called Msimbazi River Estate. The objective was to develop a unique eco estate targeting quality homes that were affordable to most people. To achieve this, we had to get approval of the development from the authorities which has proven to be extremely difficult. The authorities had very surprising environmental concerns around the actual property which resulted in Inkwazi employing the services of various environmental experts to allay these fears. Due to these delays, the company started investigating the establishing of a dedicated homeloan solution for buyers seeking affordable homes with access to finance for those homes. We have achieved this unique turnkey solution that will revolutionise the provision of affordable housing in South Africa. This is getting done with formal approvals from the authorities and we will continue to try and work with the authorities to fast track the provision of this solution to increase our impact in this critical area of our society.

Vision

Our vision is to grow our multi-disciplinary development company to introduce and develop quality housing estates using Light Steel Frame construction supported by sustainable utilities. Inkwazi Eco Projects have a strategy of partnership, so each development has a bespoke structure that incorporates the required parties to ensure financial and operational success.

Mission

Our mission is to source the required development funding and the appropriate land to design, construct and commission eco housing estates targeting the affordable housing market. This will be achieved using the vast experience of the team, the employment of correct corporate BBBEE structures with the aim of transferring these skills to achieve the agreed targets in the long term. The company follows a strict “Green is Good” policy and this is a core corporate value.

Stakeholders

Inkwazi Eco Projects has adopted a unique collaborative management approach to property development by allowing each professional discipline to operate autonomously within their existing entities. These entities have the experience and know how to source and develop residential properties within this structure by bringing their expertise and skills to each development on a dedicated basis. The professional fees are agreed within each development in line with statutory norms with their equity participation providing the extra incentive to perform. There are developments where the Inkwazi professional will joint venture with other professionals.

Inkwazi Eco Projects sees teamwork on every project as the key to success of any turnkey operation. The overall project manager is duty-bound in ensuring effective communication to all stakeholders and at all levels. Teams are built by combining the strengths of the individual members and refining skills to meet and exceed the client’s expectations.
